New Village of Eastlake

Funded in 1998 as Delaware’s only HOPE VI Project, the New Village of Eastlake was completed in 2007 after demolition of 267 public housing units in 2001. A $28.6 million mix finance partnership with Leon N. Weiner and Associates, the development has dramatically improved the northeast section of Wilmington and spurred additional revitalization efforts in the surrounding community.

  • 70 affordable tax credit rentals (fully leased)
  • 90 Homeownership Units: 35 Affordable, 55 Market Rate (Sold Out!)
  • New Community Center with superintendent live-in unit
