Self-Sufficiency ProgramAre you ready to move on up?The Wilmington Housing Authority’s (WHA) Resident Services Division assist residents who are serious about achieving self-sufficiency that can lead them to improve and develop abilities to increase life skills and employment opportunities needed to become non-subsidized market renters or ultimately becoming homeowners. By combining case-management and the coordination of services, participating residents are able to achieve economic self-sufficiency and maintain a lifestyle independent of subsidy. WHA partners with a number of local and state service providers to offer training, education, employment assistance, homeownership counseling, financial management, Individual Development Account, to name a few, that can assist residents on their road to self reliance.
